Golf In Costa Rica

I am a big golf fan, not close to being a professional golfer yet but really enjoy playing in Costa Rica. The views are amazing, as are the service and the courses are quite challenging in some cases.

Some golf clubs in Costa Rica won’t allow people to play if their golf handicap is too low (36+), but there are places that are great for the more amateur or beginning golfer.

We can add these golf courses to your itinerary as not every golf course allows walk-ins, it’s always good to make it part of your booking.

We listed some of the famous ones that we have visited.

Ocean Course Four Seasons

Four Seasons Ocean Golf Course

Ranked among the “Top 100 Courses Outside the United States” by Golf Digest, our 18-hole, par-72, Arnold Palmer-designed course pairs dramatic elevation changes with stunning views of Bahía de Culebra. Play among the chatter of monkeys from the surrounding, emerald-green forests.

Reserva Conchal

Reserva Conchal Golf Club

A truly memorable golf experience awaits you at the Reserva Conchal Golf Club. The course has been designed in the classic tradition of the game with two distinct nine-hole segments of pure golf.

This is environmentally sensitive golf at its best, with the course incorporated with the native Costa Rican landscape. Careful attention has gone into preserving and enhancing the native forest and mangroves.

La Iguana Golf Scorecard

La Iguana – Los Sueños.

Ted Robinson created the La Iguana course at Los Suenos Marriott Ocean and Golf resort through the tropical rainforest where monkeys and parrots will join you as you play along this amazing course.

The La Iguana Golf Course features 18 championship holes with a 73.4-course rating, par-72, and slope 145. Playing our exotic 6,698-yard Ted Robinson-designed golf course in Costa Rica would be any golfer’s dream. The naturally challenging layout will please players of all skill levels.

Our golf course in Costa Rica is richly landscaped to include exotic native plants, banana trees, orchids, monkeys, and more than 150 species of birds and local wildlife. Los Reyes Country Club

This golf course is perfectly located in an environment where you can enjoy the fresh air and a comfortable climate. It consists of 9 holes and has an extension of 2917 yards when used by gentlemen and 2721 for the use of ladies.

This course consists of 6 holes Par 4, 2 holes Par 3, and 1 hole Par 5. Although it is a small course, it is still a nice practicing course not only for beginners but also for more advanced players. Its location makes it great to start upon arrival in Costa Rica since it is just about 30 minutes from the airport.

As you can see, if you like golf, Costa Rica is a perfect destination for you. This was just a selection of some of the available golf courses, there are other Par 3, Par 4, and Par 5 courses around the country that we can recommend you as well.

In case you travel with people who do not practice golf, we can make sure we add different activities at the same time in your itinerary.

Cariari Golf Course

Club Cariari

When we talk about Cariari Country Club we talk about tradition and history, we must keep in mind that since its inauguration in 1973 world-class events have taken place, especially on our golf course.

Its designer George Fazio worked hard to build not only a work of art but also a legacy which today, without any fear, we can affirm that is the most complete golf course in Costa Rica, its maturity and character have made the Cariari Country Club golf course the most challenging of all the courses in Costa Rica.
