Caribbean Coast
The Costa Rican Caribbean coast is a cocktail of breathtaking rainforests, fantastic sea life experiences, direct contact with the ancient inhabitants of the region, and a close and personal connection with the abundant wildlife.
- The North Caribbean (Tortuguero and Parismina)
- The South Caribbean (Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, Cocles and Manzanillo)
The Caribbean Coast has two certain months of sun in March and April and two more sunny months in September and October. The rest of the year, although quite unpredictable, is rainy.

South Caribbean
The South Caribbean region is one of the most exuberant tropical nature territories of Costa Rica and an area where the Caribbean culture merged with the Chinese tradition and the Costa Rican ways.
As it is nowadays with travelers staying in this area, many of them forever.
It is a friendly community where the human colors are combined with the hot and humid weather, the Caribbean coconut-based cuisine, and reggae music.
There are three distinct areas:

- Puerto Viejo
- Manzanillo
Cahuita is a laid-back town next to the breathtaking Cahuita National Park.
In the National Park, you will find white sands, turquoise waters, and magnificent coral reefs.

The town’s cultural character is, to say the least: a blend of the indigenous Bribri, the Afro-Caribbean, the Costa Rican, and the hippie counterculture.
This small village is 11 miles (18 km) from Cahuita National Park.
Manzanillo is the tiny, laid-back fishing community of Manzanillo the end town south of the surfing haven of Puerto Viejo.
This small hamlet’s main attraction is its incredible white sand beach band that is lined with palm trees and is washed in the peaceful and soothing waters of the Caribbean Sea.
